Cinema, Hotel and Restaurants, Telford

This scheme was developed by Citygrove,  in partnership with Telford Council, as part of an overall Masterplan to create a successful leisure destination based around a new Town Square  - a real people place.  Conceived and implemented in the depth of the economic downturn, it strikes a balance between the competing requirements for budget and quality. Fitting seven restaurants, an 80 bedroom hotel,  and an eleven screen cinema onto a very small site was a considerable challenge. Each building has its own distinct architectural identity which together create a new contemporary urban cluster, enclosing a highly-flexible public space that can change over the seasons and evolve over time.
